MI Icons for Visual Basic

In 2006, I had the chance to be offered for "distribution" complete sets of MI icons for Visual Basic, that is the 26x24 pixel icon set in individual files and in different formats. Alvin Ng converted them in BMP and ICO, Lars Nielsen in PNG. Lars has also added a htm page that will display all those icons.

These 238 icons were extracted from the 700 version of MapInfo.

One must be careful when using them in MapBasic because some have been added in different versions. Starting with version 400 that contained 326 (codes 0-325) Mi has added the ODBC set (326-331) in version 410, Search by polygon, Unselect all, Graph selection and ODBC disconnect  (332-335) in version 550, Hot link and Invert selection (336-337) in 650, OpenWMS (338) in 750, OpenWFS (339) in 780, no addition in 800 and too early to say anything for 850; all the icons introduced after version 410 are grouped in the "Extra" block.

The 238 icon set (Alvin Ng's)  is thus a valid set since MI650 and incomplete starting at 750,  the 240 set (Lars Nielsen) is the most complete set since 780. Compatibility with previous versions can be established by examining the short list of additions above.
