Skimall finds records that are judged identical on the basis of a strategy chosen by the user. That strategy is based on several choices that are detailed in the IDENTITY.doc and that deal with geographic dimensions, style attributes and column contents (up to 6 columns), taken separately or in any combination, with two levels of "severity".

It allows to save a file "purged" of duplicates, a file of duplicates, a file of "parents" (cases that are duplicated), a file of single occurrences. These files can be generated in any combination, including none.
