One line description:
outlines regions of a selection or in a table with a fading pattern
Expanded description:
A fading pattern is made of lines of equal width with progressive offsets and fading colors.
Fading patterns are built in the region inside; regions should be clockwise. Fader creates a table for each 'offset lines' to control their display order, with the name of the base table followed by '_n' n being the offset number.
Patterns are stored in the Fader.ini file. User can add to those existing while respecting the syntax for that file. Pen patterns must exist in MapInfoW.PEN. The pattern to use can be viewed and selected by the user.
ZIP contents:
Fader.mbx    the MapBasic application, version 1.0, compiled for MI version 4.0
Fader.ini       the strings in different languages and some faded pattern definitions using pen definitions of the attached MapInfoW_OFF9.PEN file
Fader.txt       this file
MapInfoW_OFF9.PEN    a replacement file for MapInfoW.PEN
Hints on use:
Installed in the TOOLS menu (MI=>4.5) or the main menu bar (MI<4.5). Most options/commands available from a toolbar that can be docked or floating, its position recorded as in an option.
If the Fader.INI file is not placed in the same directory as the application, the first time Fader is launched, that file will be recreated in English only, with one single faded pattern "Blue_2_4", and with a floating toolbar.
