One line description: Transforms a thematic in a "permanently coloured" table |
Expanded description: FIXSHADE uses a thematic map for creating a new table with the same objects and data while changing "permanently" the styles of the objects to those they have in the thematic map. It also adds a column "Class_N" containing the class indices used in the thematic analysis (from 1 to a max of 16, 0 for default/missing values). N is an index starting at 1 to allow holding multiple classifications on the same table. It is limited to "ranges" thematics based on regions, lines or points. It will not treat thematics based on selections. The frontwindow must contain only one base table and one thematic layer. The new table will contain only the objects on which the thematic is based (regions, lines or points). A thematic can be based on expressions as long as all the variables implied are in the base table. It will not work if calculations lead to a division by zero (make another base table by deleting thoses cases). A report on the thematic classification and its styles is included in a file with the same name as the new table but with a .TXT extension and placed in the same directory. |

Hints on use: Once a thematic map exists, use the "Fix Thematic Shades" from the "Fix Shades" menu located in Tools menu if MI=>4.5, or in the main menu bar otherwise. Respect the conditions spelled out above concerning the nature of the thematic. |
