It is the genius Galileo Galilei who has given his name to an ambitious European technology project: the satellite navigation system Galileo. In the near future Galileo is to help Europe get a technologically superior position amongst the global competition and strengthen the European economy by creating hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Under the patronage of the Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs Erwin Huber, the EUROPEAN SATELLITE NAVIGATION COMPETITION (Galileo Masters) will be re-launched on May 1st, 2006.
This innovation championship gives enterprises, institutes and research institutions, as well as each committed creative, private individual the opportunity to take an active part in the Galileo project and to submit ideas on the satellite navigation topic.
