Assessment of the quality of Digital Terrain Models

The INSPIRE Directive and its Implementing Rules - How to understand and apply them

The course aims to train INSPIRE stakeholders how to implement components of the INSPIRE infrastructure at the European, na-tional or sub-national level and how to assess conformity with the Implementing Rules.

Terrestrial Reference Frames: application to the realisation of the European Reference System (ETRS89)
Principal group:        Ecole Nationale des Sciences Géographiques, Paris.

The practical application of this course is placed in the context of the optimal implementation of the ETRS89 by the European Na-tional Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCAs).
Dates:          2nd to 13th May 2011

3D data in Urban Environments
Principal group:        IGN France
Tutors:                 Nicolas Paparoditis, Juha Hyyppä, Marc Pierrot-Deseilligny, Mathieu Brédif, Bruno Vallet, Sylvain Airault, Nicolas Bel¬laiche
On completion of the course, the participants will be familiar with the main tools (operational and research ones) to design, produce and process 3D data (geometry and semantics) in urban environments.
Dates:          23rd May to 3rd June 2011

The courses will be preceded by a two-day seminar from 8th to 9th March 2011 at Ecole Nationale des Sciences Géographiques, Paris
Background material is presented by the tutors; participants meet the tutors and fellow participants; the learning platform - Moodle - is demonstrated
