CartONG
Présentation
CartONG est une association sans but lucratif dont la mission est de fournir des services de cartographie et de gestion de l'information aux organisations humanitaires et de développement, et de promouvoir l'utilisation des Systèmes d'Information Géographiques.
Pour cela, nous fournissons aux acteurs de l’humanitaire et du développement les outils nécessaires à l’acquisition et la gestion de données, qui leurs sont utiles pour planifier rationnellement leurs interventions, les mettre en œuvre de façon efficace, et enfin évaluer leur impact. Notre objectif est d'améliorer ainsi la qualité des services rendus aux populations les plus vulnérables, et de favoriser un développement durable des pays du Sud.
Initialement spécialisés sur la thématique des déplacés & réfugiés, nous avons aujourd'hui étendu notre champ d'expertise à de nombreux autres domaines : cartographie d'urgence post-catastrophe, lutte contre la déforestation, gestion des ressources agricoles, santé publique, collecte de données par des appareils mobiles, etc.
Nos équipes travaillent avec des outils innovants, utilisant les applications inédites offertes par les nouvelles technologies (smartphones, GPS, imagerie satellite, Internet). Celles-ci permettent de réunir avec précision des informations vitales sur les besoins des personnes et des communautés ainsi que sur leur environnement.
Nous travaillons avec des organisations locales, nationales et internationales, en particulier avec des ONG spécialistes de l'urgence et du développement ainsi que des agences onusiennes comme le Haut Commissariat aux Réfugiés des Nations Unies.
L’intégration des communautés dans les projets et la formation du personnel local sont des aspects majeurs de notre action, afin de développer des projets durables et adaptés aux besoins des bénéficiaires.
Formations
CartONG propose des formations sur ses différentes thématiques de travail, voir la liste complète notre site. Par ailleurs, la conférence GeOnG organisée tous les deux ans propose un programme riche de formations sur des outils innovants et des bonnes pratiques.
Dans le domaine de la géomatique, CartONG propose régulièrement des formations sur les logiciels SIG et les principes de la géomatique. La liste des formations proposées est mise à jour régulièrement sur notre site.
Les formations de CartONG sont essentiellement destinées aux professionnels de l'humanitaire et du développement, ou aux étudiants se destinant à le devenir.
