Baccalauréat en géomatique appliquée à l'environnement (Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada)
Objectifs de la formation
* Permettre à l'étudiante ou à l'étudiant :
* d'acquérir des connaissances relatives aux théories et méthodes régissant l'espace géographique, sa dynamique contemporaine et la gestion des risques associés;
* d'acquérir des connaissances relatives aux théories et méthodes régissant l'écologie et la biodiversité à des échelles différentes;
* de relier les notions émanant des disciplines relatives aux objectifs précédents afin d'intégrer la géomatique dans le processus de gestion de l'environnement biophysique et humain;
* de maîtriser les concepts et les techniques géomatiques d'observation, de traitement et d'interprétation des données (SIG, CAO, télédétection, photo-interprétation, GPS);
* de savoir développer et exploiter une base de données à référence spatiale et appliquer de façon approfondie les techniques géomatiques à la gestion des ressources naturelles et de l'environnement;
* de développer le sens pratique du métier des gestionnaires du milieu à l'aide de la géomatique à travers des stages de type coopératif, et en utilisant une approche d'apprentissage par projet;
* de développer une autonomie intellectuelle qui favorise la prise de décision et l'autoapprentissage dans un milieu de recherche ou de production.
