Description de l'offre de formation
Objectifs de la formation : Ce diplôme offre aux étudiants la possibilité d’acquérir une formation spécifique dans la production, le traitement et l’analyse de l’information géographique et d’appliquer leur savoir-faire dans le monde professionnel. Les enseignements proposés couvrent l’intégralité de la chaine d’acquisition et de traitement de l’information géographique :
– Enquête (élaboration, échantillonnage et plan de sondage, saisie, traitements)
– Système d’Information Géographique
– Analyse spatiale (théorie et pratique)
– Statistiques uni et multi-variées appliquées à la cartographie
– Edition cartographique et infographie
– Nouveaux outils d’analyses (textométrie, cartographie dynamique, réseaux Web)
Le DU a pour objectif de décloisonner les approches méthodologiques traditionnellement présentes en géographie afin de considérer la méthodologie comme un ensemble de techniques qui dialoguent entre elles et qui sont nécessaires à la réalisation d’un recueil de données de qualité.

Option(s)/spécialité(s) : Les enseignements du D.U. SIGMAGe permettent la maîtrise des démarches de l’analyse spatiale et l’acquisition de méthodes propres à l’Enquête en sciences sociales et aux Systèmes d’Information Géographique (Méthodes d'enquêtes, de collecte, de mise en forme et de traitement des données, d'analyses statistiques et spatiales, représentation cartographique, conception de SIG)
Contenu des enseignements en géomatique : Théories des SIG et applications sur des cas pratiques (logiciels : ArcGis, QGis). Les cours de cartographie statistique sont effectués avec le support du logiciel Philcarto et Cartes et Données.
Nombre d'heures des enseignements en géomatique : environ 80 heures (+ 40 h d'auto-formation en atelier, correspondant à la réalisation d'un microprojet).
Durée totale de la formation : 1 an, dont 3 à 5 mois de stage
Effectif moyen :18 étudiants maximum
