Le réseau géodésique français calculé pour l’année 1993 (RGF93) est le système métropolitain de référence de coordonnées géographiques et à partir du 10 mars 2009, toute donnée géographique publique destinée à être partagée, diffusée ou échangée devra être rattachée à celui-ci (la situation hors de la métropole est la même sauf que c'est un système différent du RGF 93) !
