Résumé : La géomatique regroupe l’ensemble des techniques géographiques auxquelles une mise en oeuvre numérique permet désormais de cohabiter dans un même environnement informatisé. Cette nouvelle discipline est au cœur de la plupart des formations dans le domaine de l’aménagement du territoire. Cependant, les
employeurs potentiels, parmi lesquels les géomètres, peuvent avoir du mal à connaître le type et le niveau de qualification des candidats, car le terme de géomatique, dangereusement ambigu,
recouvre des réalités extrêmement variables.
